How Powstar handle projects for American customers:
a. Tool steel: A2, D2, O1, all with incoming inspection report and certificates
b. Guide bushings/Posts/Gas Springs: Dadco; Retainers/Punches and Buttons: Dayton, all popular and standard in US market
c. Tools will be designed fully to your tooling standard or specific presses by designers with at least 10 years experiences who know US tools quite well
d. Forming limit, Thinning rate, material crush change,full CAE/Simulation will be made before
tooling starts to ensure parts will be well formed, no crush, thinning rate within 10% of material
e. All tool parts made in house will be inspected with CMM, any parts with any deviation will be rejected and remade till it is 100% to the tool drawing data.
f. First tryout will be made using required steel material, FAI dimension report and CMM report will be sent to the customer together with clear photos, videos of the running tool. For first tryout, we can get 80-90% OK dimensions to the drawing data.
g. After further trouble shooting and debugging, usually we can get 100% OK parts at second or third tryout.
1. Weekly timelines will be updated on each Thursday or as required, so you can see what we have done, what's now and what we are going to do.
2.When this is any potential risk causing to delay found,we will put more manpower and equipmentinto your project to maintain the lead time.
3. 24 hours / 7 days over time job is made occasionally for very urgent projects.
4. According to our record, the on-time delivery rate is 95% while most delays were caused by design changes from end customers.
